working bee

The next working bee is on Saturday 13 November 2010. There are a number of jobs that we would like to accomplish on site during the day. We plan to have teams assigned to the following tasks


Jobs

1. Retaining wall
Dismantling the existing retaining wall and rebuilding with bricks.

2. Painting Clairvaux staircase
Applying undercoat and overcoat to surface areas of exterior staircase.

3. Painting Clairvaux wall
Sanding, applying undercoat and overcoat to wall.

4. Broken drainpipe
Unscrewing and replacing broken drainpipe and painting

5. Bush regeneration
Planting of native shrubs in area between Kedumba and Clairvaux

6. Carpet cleaning
Using heavy duty cleaner to clean floors at conference centres.

8.00am - Breakfast
8:45am - Devotions
9:00am - Tasks and teams assigned
11:00am - Morning Tea
1:00pm - Lunch
5:00pm - Pack up

For those staying overnight on the Saturday we will supply dinner on Saturday night and breakfast on Sunday morning. As usual we are happy to supply you with free agapanthus and firewood should you wish to bring a trailer !

If you are just coming for the day please plan on arriving by 8:40am in time for a hot drink and devotions.

If you have any tools or equipment related to the suggested tasks we will be undertaking please bring these along. We ask everyone who can, to come and enjoy a weekend of fulfilling work with other Christian people in the mountains. There will be lots of projects to complete, and we need your help, whether you're a trained landscaper, a beginner painter, a willing gardener, a lifelong engineer, or just happy to help where you can.
