10,000 people burn their plastic Jesus!

Kylie Minogue, Elton John and The Wiggles have all attracted sell-out crowds at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, but never has a kcc-invited speaker ever done so… until 27 August 2008!

When we invited Mark Driscoll, Pastor of Mars Hill Church in Seattle, to speak at "Burn Your Plastic Jesus",we never anticipated the buzz he would create. Mark challenged each of the 10,000 people in attendance to rid ourselves of the Jesus that conveniently fits around us, a shelf item that is fake and manufactured, and instead engage with the real and powerful Jesus of the New Testament, a person who should be at the centre of our lives.

Many in attendance made commitments and re-commitments to follow Jesus that night, seeking counsel to help them burn their plastic Jesus.
