After more than a decade of running Women’s Katoomba Convention (WKC), KCC has decided to pause this ministry with a view to relaunching a new initiative in the future. Declining numbers have necessitated our decision to not hold WKC 2013 and to dedicate our time and energy towards something new.
The KCC Board are committed to continuing to provide faithful teaching to women at Katoomba and are planning a bigger and better convention initiative as a result. Already there are dedicated and talented people working behind the scenes to make this happen! We are excited about what will come of our planning, preparation and, of course, prayer and would ask that you join with us in praying for KCC as we pause and relaunch.
The WKC Committee want to take this opportunity - as they pause and reflect upon what God has done through this ministry over the last decade - to thank you, our delegates who have been an encouragement and delight over the years. They look forward to seeing you at the relaunch. The KCC Board joins them in their gratitude.
If anyone has made plans to come to WKC2013 and has been inconvenienced by the Board’s decision to Pause, by having already made financial commitments for the event, we ask them to please contact the KCC office for assistance.
We are planning to record Jenny Salt (who was to be one of our speakers this year) giving several Bible talks and will let you know when the DVD is available. You may want to plan a ‘virtual WKC’ time with the women of your church and watch the video together.
We will keep you well informed of our progress.
