Over 15,000 leaders trained at NextGen since 1990

28/9/2017

When you get sick or board a plane, you want to know that your doctor or pilot have been well trained. It’s even more important that children’s and youth leaders are trained well to faithfully pass on the good news of eternal life.

This is what happens in Katoomba every January at NextGen. NextGen is a 5-day, all-inclusive residential conference that provides:

  • Strong foundations in understanding the Bible,
  • Excellent training to prepare Bibles studies and talks,
  • Daily encouragement and example from experienced preachers,
  • Practical skills for youth and children’s ministry, and
  • Great food, fun and fellowship with other leaders.

10 years ago we would fly 20 people down to Sydney to be trained at NextGen (formerly KYLC). I found it incredibly refreshing to kick start the year with a week of solid Bible teaching and the talks and seminars always challenged me on my godliness. I would then try to take all that I learned back to Brissy and implement it into the young adults group.

So m
y encouragement for everyone down in Sydney is to not take for granted the great training that you have at your doorstep. It’s world class and majority of places around the world don’t have ANYTHING like it.

- Iggy, Associate Pastor of Coopers Plains Evangelical Church (QLD)

Over 1,700 women encouraged to fix their eyes on eternity at OneLove

20/9/2017

On Saturday 9 September, over 1,700 women travelled to Sydney Olympic Park to hear from God's Word and to spend a day gazing into eternity.

Women travelled far and wide to attend OneLove with the biggest groups coming from Chinese Christian Church (Milsons Point), Wild Street Anglican (Maroubra), St Thomas' Anglican Church (North Sydney), and  Windsor District Baptist Church (South Windsor). We also had women joining from as far as Cairns, Melbourne and New Zealand!

Throughout the day there was a joyful sense of unity in the gospel, with women of different cultures, life stages and denominations coming together to worship God under one roof.

Seeing the numbers of women from babies up to great grandma's was thrilling. Not since I was involved with the Billy Graham crusades in Australia have I experienced this presentation of God's Word.

- Marilyn
OneLove was an uplifting shared experience with members of my church. I was encouraged by seeing such a large number of beautiful young women willing to give up their Saturday to learn more about following Jesus. I have renewed hope for the future of the church in Australia.

- Coral
OneLove 2017 featured Bible talks from the books of Genesis, 2 Corinthians and Revelations, taught by guest speakers Nancy Guthrie and Mike Raiter. Women were also served with inspiring testimonies of ordinary Australian women who are living in light of eternity in spite of the hardships they have faced in life.
The talks were full of scripture, engaging and relevant. The testimonies were particularly moving, and prompted excellent conversations throughout the day about stuff that really matters.

- Kate

The speakers, testimonies, reflection and sharing was excellent. The theme of Eternity really refreshed me and blessed me overall. A magnificently executed day!

- Rachel
Loved hearing the authentic testimonies. It was so wonderful to hear how God has been working in the lives of "ordinary" women.

- Sarah

Join the 1,700+ women gathering at OneLove this Saturday

6/9/2017

Picture
Over 1,700 women of all ages are set to gather at OneLove to hear from God's Word and to be inspired in their relationship with Jesus.

Delegates will hear from guest speakers Nancy Guthrie and Mike Raiter who will be speaking on the theme "For Eternity" in three separate talks:

Talk 1: Eternal Life - Nancy Guthrie
Talk 2: Eternal Glory - Mike Raiter
Talk 3: Eternal Home - Nancy Guthrie

According to OneLove chairwoman Julianne Jones, OneLove is a unique opportunity for women to sit under God's Word undistracted and to be in awe of God's majesty:
"In the busyness of our lives it is easy to lose sight of the hope we have in Christ, or to have that sight go little blurry. OneLove is a wonderful opportunity to spend a day away from the pressures and distractions of life, to sit under God’s word and lift our eyes from ourselves and be in awe of God’s majesty."
The event will be held at the Sydney Showground at Sydney Olympic Park.

Last minute tickets are still available:
