Christian men talk about friendship, anxiety, giving a good apology and living with purpose19/12/2017
In 2016 Katoomba Men's Convention was relaunched as BASECAMP, bringing new life to KCC's men's ministry which started in 1997.
A popular change to the program was the introduction of the Build Up segment, where men speak for 12 minutes and share practical wisdom from personal experience for living well as a Christian man. Topics covered in 2016 included being a Christian father, anger, sex and money and coping with the death of a child. Here are a selection of Build Up talks that were featured at BASECAMP 2017: Old Man, Young Man
Chris describes himself as “the youth worker” and Charles is rapidly becoming one of the “old men” at church. They both attended BASECAMP in 2016 and were challenged to bring the “BP Man” experience to the kids at their church. Chris and Charles will share how this experience led to both discipleship and unexpected friendship.
