KCC Bushfire Update

We are conscious that our delegates and supporters may have concerns over the status of the bushfires that have affected the Katoomba community. We are thankful to God that the fires have not affected our site in Katoomba and that our property and staff have remained safe so far. 

We will be monitoring the situation closely with the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) and are committed to keeping you updated if the situation changes. If you are registered for NextGen training conference in January, please check your emails and phones in case we need to contact you. 

As a supporter of KCC, we ask that you will join us in asking our Heavenly Father for rain, safety and an end to the bushfires: 

Heavenly Father,

As our country is ravaged by extensive drought and fire, we cry out to you for relief. Our hearts are broken for life, property and wildlife lost. We pray that in your mercy, you will restrain the forces of nature from further catastrophic damage. Protect those who are fighting fires and guide authorities who are assisting with evacuations and offering shelter for the displaced.  Help the local church to be a place that offers comfort, healing and peace to those in need. We pray for the miracle of rain to end drought and quench fires. We ask all of this with faith and hope in the powerful name of Jesus. AMEN.
