At Katoomba Easter Convention this year, we will be gathering under God’s word to explore the theme, “The Kindness of God: The Action That Changes a Destiny”. With only four weeks until Easter, we are pleased to introduce our five keynote speakers for 2021.

Keen to join us this Easter? Register today!

Meet Kirk Patston

Kirk Patston has been long-standing supporter of KCC events, having preached at KYCK, NextGen, Easter Convention and Oxygen since 1995. He currently lectures at Sydney Missionary Bible College and is one of the Founders of ‘Our Place Christian Communities’, a ministry which seeks to support accommodation and discipleship for adults with intellectual impairment. In 2017, Kirk delivered an empowering talk at Easter Convention, encouraging delegates to “nurture a courageous trust in God” from the book of Isaiah.

You can listen to the talk here:

Meet Paul Tripp

Pastor, author and conference speaker, Paul Tripp, will join KEC as a Special Guest in 2021. Tripp has spoken at previous KCC events including Katoomba Easter Convention 2015 and Oxygen 2014. He is the president of Paul Tripp Ministries, a ministry that develops resources for everyday Christian living. His books and teaching series have helped people around the world to understand how the Gospel of Jesus Christ speaks with practical hope into all things people experience in a broken world.

You can get a taste of Paul’s teaching from his website or listen to his Oxygen talk, “I Am the Light of the World” here:

Meet Matt Fuller

Matt Fuller is the Senior Pastor at Christ Church Mayfair, where he has served since it was planted in 2001. He oversees the city centre ministry to families, students and workers. In God’s kindness they have been able to plant numerous other churches into diverse settings and Matt sits on the board of the Co-mission network of churches. He lives in central London with his family and is the author of several books. Prior to ministry he worked for several years as a school teacher of History and Politics which remain a great pleasure to him.

You can get a taste of Matt’s teaching in this talk, “God the Great Know All” from Psalm 139.

Meet Don Carson

Don A. Carson is Distinguished Emeritus Professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. He serves as Theologian-at-Large for The Gospel Coalition. He has written or edited about sixty books, including the Pillar New Testament Commentary volume on the Gospel according to John, The Gagging of God: Christianity Confronts Pluralism, Becoming Conversant with the Emerging Church, The Intolerance of Tolerance, Christ and Culture Revisited, the long-popular New Testament Commentary Survey, and The Enduring Authority of the Christian Scriptures.

Get a taste of his teaching from this Oxygen 2014 talk, “I am the First and the Last”:

Meet Peter Williams

Peter J. Williams is the Principal and CEO of Tyndale House, Cambridge. He is Chair of the International Greek New Testament Project and a member of the Translation Oversight Committee of the English Standard Version of the Bible. He assisted Dr Dirk Jongkind in Tyndale House’s production of a major edition of the Greek New Testament and his recent book Can We Trust the Gospels? was published in late 2018.
