With lockdowns and restrictions being lifted and our country slowly opening for all sorts of gatherings, KCC is looking forward to hosting families again in the beautiful Blue Mountains. So, whether you’re planning a trip for the upcoming summer school holidays or attending KCC events for 2022, we welcome you to spend time as friends and family on our KCC site as a way to also help support and keep the ministry going. Our StayKCC site is not just limited for use for KCC or external event bookings. With several options to suit everyone, from the campgrounds to the self-contained Wollemi House, your family can enjoy your private home away from home in the great outdoors. While in the mountains, you can enjoy short or long bushwalks, explore the World Heritage site and wonder at the nature and Glory of God that surrounds you. After months of closing our site off to the public, KCC is offering accommodation packages to families and groups of all sizes to take advantage of the beautiful sights the Blue Mountains as to offer. View the packages here and plan your mountains escape as a family: https://www.kcc.org.au/news/staykcc-is-open-and-waiting-to-welcome-you. If you're wanting to get away ASAP, you can also check out last minute availability and deals here: https://www.staykcc.com.au/last-minute-deals. In 2022, KCC is also excited to welcome families back for our annual Katoomba Easter Convention. Parents will be welcomed back into the auditorium for Bible talks and worship, while children, from babies all the way to year 12, can enjoy the much-loved children’s programmes spread across the KCC site. Registrations for KEC are set to open on Tuesday 2nd November at 9:30AM, with limited KCC accommodation options available as well. View ticket options and more information on KEC here: https://easterconvention.com. We’re always encouraged to hear your stories and what gathering in the Blue Mountains as a family does for you and your family. For 118 years we have seen families gathered to support the ministry of KCC and re-connect with one another as ‘All One in Christ Jesus’, and we’re pleased to hear of the impact the ministry has had on families today: My husband and I have been coming to KEC every year since we were married in 2005. We have had four children in that time and each of them have spent every Easter at KEC. It's such a blessing for our whole family. – Naomi We have attended KEC for approx 20 years during childhood years of our 3 kids, last one this year in senior high year 12. We benefit from the cross generational family time and learned platform bible teaching. We come to be fed for life and ministry back in our church and world. – KEC Delegate So, as you consider the ways in which you can help the ministry of KCC, our hope is that you might consider gathering as a family in the mountains. By staying on our accommodation site or booking a ticket to a KEC, your gift enables the ministry to keep going for future generations, so many more families have the privilege of gathering together to enjoy the mountain-top experience. Why Your Gift Makes a Difference Sometimes we get questions about why we need funds to keep going – "Don’t your event tickets cover costs?" or "Don't your accommodation bookings keep KCC running?" In reality, what we receive from ticketing or accommodation bookings covers some costs, but without donations, we aren’t able to do what we do. Since COVID-19 hit, KCC has needed to issue refunds for events and close its accommodation centre for lockdowns. This has cost the ministry over $1,000,000 and has had a tremendous impact. There are three ways you could help us:
