Introducing Leaders Stories – A New & Free Online Series on Oxygen

4/11/2021

Katoomba Christian Convention (KCC) is starting a series of interviews with people in ministry called Leaders Stories. Coming to the Oxygen Facebook channel weekly from Wednesday 10th November, this series will focus on stories of discovering personal weakness, lessons learnt about God's strength and the journey for how this happened for people.

Hosted by LT Hopper, the Leaders Stories series aims to get personal with everyday leaders to talk about how it is only through the understanding and discovery of our weaknesses do we truly discover God’s strength.

LT shares some of the inspiration for kickstarting this series:
We can learn a lot from hearing the stories of others.  A.J Swoboda in his book, “The Dusty Ones”, says this: “I’ve learned the most about following Jesus from those with the greatest failures.”

A.J. Swoboda says: "Paul spoke openly of his sin, struggles and lack of ministerial success - he was a prototype wandering preaching who embraced the wrinkles of his own life as a platform for the truth of the good news.”
LT also shares that much of this was the same for Jesus as well, reflecting on the way that Paul talks about Jesus in Philippians 2:6-9 (NIV):
Who, being in very nature God,

   did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

rather, he made himself nothing

   by taking the very nature of a servant,

   being made in human likeness.

And being found in appearance as a man,

   he humbled himself

   by becoming obedient to death—

        even death on a cross!

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place...
The Leaders Stories series is set to premiere every Wednesday at 12PM AEDT on the Oxygen Facebook Page. Each interview features 20-30 minutes of content so you can sit back and listen during your lunch break. Can’t join on the day? You can rewatch the interviews on-demand or watch and listen on the KCC One App.
