Katoomba Christian Convention (KCC) has partnered with Peloton Cafe Charity Events & Pleezpay to host the Katoomba Oxygen Cycling Challenge. The challenge aims to raise funds to sponsor Christian leaders in isolated and disadvantaged contexts to attend the Oxygen Christian Leaders Conference taking place in Sydney in June.

Launched in 2011, Oxygen is Australia’s largest and only interdenominational, national, ministry conference. The conference has served over 3,700 delegates from every state and territory in Australia and from countries as far as Dubai, India, Nigeria and Spain. For many Christian leaders, Oxygen is a unique time to rest under God’s word, and to worship in the company of thousands of like-minded gospel workers:
"Many conferences you walk away thinking that you have to strive, however at Oxygen I walked away more in love with my Shepherd."

- Timon, Lead Pastor, Oakden Baptist Church (SA)
Riders will experience 2 days of riding, including accommodation, meals and dinner with Mike Tomalaris - Australian sports reporter, presenter and host of SBS Television's cycling coverage. They will receive a special edition Blackchrome Pro Kit including jersey, bibs and socks. During the ride they will have the use of race radios, magic espresso coffee and support vehicles including a ride mechanic.

KCC's Director of Church Partnerships, L-T Hopper will be taking part in the ride in mutual support of Christian leaders serving in remote areas:
"Oxygen conference has not only kept me going as a Pastor but also as a Christian. I want others to have the opportunity to have the same experience I have had. Many leaders work in remote places with isolation and little support. I want to give them an opportunity to make connections with others for life; be encouraged and equipped for their roles."

- L-T Hopper, KCC Church Partnerships Director
