Currently serving over 2,700 users across the globe, KCC One is a free app offering exclusive access to video, audio and transcripts from the KCC archives. Here are our top 7 picks including talks, interviews, devotionals and sermon series.
In 2020, Katoomba Christian Convention (KCC) released KCC One—a brand new mobile platform which aims to make God's word accessible worldwide. For close to 120 years, KCC has hosted six annual conventions with the hope to see Australia transformed by Jesus Christ through the powerful preaching of the Bible. With the launch of KCC One, we hope to see this vision unfold on a larger scale.
Currently serving over 2,700 users across the globe, KCC One is a free app offering exclusive access to video, audio and transcripts from KCC’s rich archive of Bible talks. In a year where churches were closed and Christians were forced to isolate, KCC One aimed to serve users with over 350 expository preaching and topical talks from both local and international preachers.
How did KCC One serve you in 2020? We recently asked KCC team members to share how the app has encouraged them. Here are their responses and recommendations!
1. Work as Worship – 7 Day Devotional – Kara Martin
“The Work as Worship devotional series shares six different ways of looking at your work and shows you how Jesus himself practiced these things. Kara describes these as ‘spiritual disciplines’ and how they can become habits in our lives as well. I hadn’t previously thought of the different aspects of work in this manner, but this has been beneficial in not only how I view my 9 to 5 job but how I can be more like Jesus in other areas of my life as well.
It’s not always possible to attend a KCC convention in person, so the app allows you to catch up on anything that you’ve missed. Not only that, but our talks by speakers like Francis Chan, John Lennox, Nancy Guthrie (and more!) wouldn’t be available elsewhere and you get to listen to them for free! KCC One is a valuable resource if you’re looking for sound, biblical teaching and wanting to grow in your walk with God.”
2. Engage 15 Proverbs – Sermon Series – Ray Galea & Matt Fuller
“The Engage 15 Proverbs series by Ray Galea and Matt Fuller gives a very helpful understanding of Proverbs. Both speakers illustrate and apply their respective passages and themes with a host of real-life examples. Themes addressed include sexual temptation, making wise decisions, taming the tongue and the benefits of friendship. I found each talk very compelling and was encouraged and challenged to live by a fear of the Lord in the details of life.
KCC One contains a wealth of great resources to be explored. The ability to search by keywords is helpful. This helped me discover and listen to all past talks on Proverbs. Why not complement your own study of a particular book of the Bible by engaging with great talks to help you apply the teaching of that book to your own life?”
3. The Examen
“The KCC One App is another tool to have for the purpose of sanctification and edification of saints. As Christians, we are called to examine ourselves and to fix our eyes on the finish line and to not be side-tracked by the world. ‘The Examen’ is an app resource that will help you to grasp each moment, thought and action in light of eternity, and to centre your life around the God who has redeemed you.
With KCC One, you can watch, listen or read our content depending on your lifestyle. As it is portable, you can maximise your time by slotting it in-between waiting in line for your coffee or in transit from one location to another.”

4. Living with Purpose – BASECAMP Build Up Talk – John Beckett
“I know this ‘Living with Purpose’ Build Up talk is directed towards men, but after reading the talk description, I thought it would be applicable to my spiritual growth as well. John gave me a clearer perspective of what God’s purpose for me is. Going back to read Ephesians 1-3 reminded me of my identity in Christ and the commitment I have as a Christian believer. The reason why I am on Earth is for God’s praise and glory.
KCC has been such a life-changing ministry for many families and individuals. I think KCC One will encourage users to keep clinging on to God while fueling their personal relationship with God and their ministry.”
5. Come to Me: An Invitation to Find True Rest – 5 Day Devotional – Heidi Tai & Kara Martin
“2020 was such a challenging, demanding and busy year for me. The ‘Come to Me’ devotions showed me three characteristics of God that encouraged me to find rest in Him. It also explored the theological meanings behind the word ‘rest’ so that I can truly understand the Biblical application of true rest as given by God. These devotions were a comfort and allowed me to personally reflect on why it is so important for me to find true rest in God.
I love that KCC One is a one-stop shop for all the past resources I’ve enjoyed from KCC conventions. Being able to have somewhere to relisten, rewatch and reread past talks is so handy. It’s worth downloading if you need to find some great content to share with friends, family or church group for a study night.
6. John Chapman at KCC Collection
“I listened to many of the talks in John Chapman’s (‘Chappo’) KCC Collection on my walks with the fur baby! The three talks on “The Good Life” were particularly encouraging. Chappo’s talks helped direct my eyes and heart straight to the important things. I loved how clear, simple, but rich his talks were! I didn’t grow up with KCC but these old talks by Chappo reminded me again what a full archive of godly wisdom and preaching the ministry has been blessed by.
The KCC One archives are filled with blessings to dig into. It’s great for when you’re going for walks or in the car driving to work. I can cast the video content to my TV, and the ‘Read’ content has been great for quiet moments at home too.”
7. ‘Time to Reset’ Oxygen Series
“As someone involved in church ministry and leadership, the Oxygen ‘Time to Reset’ series was a blessing to me in 2020. Leading a church through a pandemic came with unique challenges, and this series encouraged me prioritise my spiritual health so that I can better serve others. Made up of candid conversations with ministry and health experts such as Paul Tripp, Valerie Ling Grant Bickerton, the series addressed timely topics such as burnout and ministry stress, while offering practical and biblical ways to move forward. I am so thankful that KCC One serves me with nourishing and trustworthy gospel-centred content at a click of a button!”
