The theme for NextGen 19 is 'The Real Deal'. Through a week of Bible talks, small-group training and workshops, we'll be exploring what the 'real deal' is when it comes to being a Christian leader.
NextGen is the most important conference in the calendar for me. It equips people to read … and teach the Bible so that they are not only a disciple but a disciple-making disciple.”

Carl serves the students at UNSW by teaching the Bible and leading the Campus Bible Study ministry. Carl is passionate about ministry training, and has loved NextGen since attending the second ever conference in 1991. On Saturday 31 August, over 1,800 women gathered at Sydney Olympic Park to hear from God's word at OneLove women's conference. Hosted by Katoomba Christian Convention, OneLove is a one-day conference that aims to teach and inspire women in their relationship with Jesus.
For busy women who are time poor, OneLove gives delegates the opportunity to be refreshed by God's word in a convenient Sydney location. For many delegates, OneLove is the one day in the calendar year where they can be encouraged by relevant Bible teaching and spend quality time with other women without distractions:
On my way to the conference I felt flat but in the end my heart was praising God and being challenged as well as encouraged in my faith. Thank you for creating an event that is welcoming, inclusive, mature, professional and so practical for us women in our faith! - Amy
As a young mum it's lovely to spend a day gathering under God's word and being able to spend time with other women, not chasing children. - Katie
Having the opportunity to put aside a day to spend with Christ-minded women focusing on God's word, His plan for our lives and worshiping as a whole group is so important. My friend and I rebook each year as we know how valuable the time is. - Emma
The theme for OneLove 2018 was 'Confidence: The Ground I Stand'. Plenary speakers, Mary Willson and Ray Galea encouraged women to seek their confidence not in earthly things, but in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Kathy Manchester also shared her personal testimony with anxiety, and how knowing God has shaped and changed her perspective on self-worth and confidence:
"I wake up many mornings feeling overwhelmed by life. I often feel anxious and fearful. I often get panic attacks. I am an anxious introvert who would rather stay home than see people. My feelings will never be trustworthy, but my foundation is. Although God has given me so many verses, sermons and realisations they haven’t changed my feelings of confidence. I’m weak. My confidence can’t be in me. My confidence can’t be my confidence. My foundation is completely outside of me, unaffected by my failings or even my progress. Our confidence is, and has to be in Jesus.” - Kathy Manchester

Trevor Hodge will be back to lead the men in worship, and Mal Gill will also be returning to share the story of Dwight L. Moody, an ordinary man who was used mightily by God. Mal's talk 'The God of Ordinary Men' will encourage delegates to look back on Moody's life, and look forward to how God might use ordinary men to accomplish His great purposes. Combine this with inspiring interviews, practical wisdom, fantastic food and a roaring bonfire, and you've got an experience not to be missed!

“The Christian walk is more than just a weekend away. We are exiles in this world for our lifetime. So you need to be equipped and packed for the journey home. Pack your readiness to share Jesus, arm yourself to suffer like Jesus, look out for each other and remember that Jesus is with you.”
- Danny Mitchell, KYCK 18 Speaker
“Thank you to all the speakers for blessing the youth, and for all the time, effort and preparation, you all did to allow God to use you to speak his truth! It was beyond amazing!”
– Mel L.
“We just had an excellent weekend at KYCK #3. On the Saturday night there were around 60 first time commitments to following Jesus and almost 200 re-commitments. Our leaders were part of the response team and we're thankful to have been a part of such an amazing gospel ministry.”
– Jac Youth, Jannali Anglican Church
“Praise God for many youth who committed their lives to Jesus at KYCK this year, including some of our own!”
– Wilton Anglican Church
“We had such a great weekend at KYCK! Praising God for kids from St Clement’s who gave their lives to Christ.”
– St. Clement’s Youth Community
“KYCK has been running for 25 years and thousands attend every year. Our delegates begin or grow their faith in Jesus through great Bible teaching, have an amazing time being part of something so much bigger than their local church, while also being encouraged to keep going as a Christian. What privilege to be a part of this powerful ministry that God is using year after year.”
