The calling out of toxic masculinity can leave men feeling confused and paralysed about what it means to be a man in this world. While the world has made it clear what masculinity shouldn’t be and the ways in which has become toxic, we don’t often hear how masculinity can be biblical and helpful.
At BASECAMP this year, we want to give men of all ages and life-stages a clear and compelling vision of what it means to be a man. Ahead of the conference this August, here are 12 resources that explore the topic of biblical masculinity. ArticlesWhat Makes a Man – Paul Tripp Paul Tripp shares 8 ways in which the Bible addresses the question of what makes a man. Read it here. Gospel-Centered Manhood: Three Correctives Entering his late 20’s, Joseph Rhea shares his desire to “grow up” and to live out his manhood in a way that gives glory to God. VideosLecrae’s ‘I Am Second’ Testimony In this testimony, Hip Hop artist Lecrae shares how his childhood was void of a father figure and how Hip Hop culture became his model for masculinity.
