WORKING BEES

WORKING BEE

Your help greatly assists our friendly site staff team to care for and make improvements to the site of KCC's convention ministry!

There are many ways to get involved:
  1. Bring a church group or a few friends to stay on site for a couple of days, and to assist using your many and varied talents. Give us a call on (02) 4780 8222 or send us an email to make arrangements with us.
  2. If you live locally, have a chat to us about the possibilities – whether for projects from time to time, or weekly, fortnightly or monthly times.

KCC working bee. We invite you to come and enjoy a weekend of fulfilling work, with other Christian people in the mountains.  There will be lots of projects to complete, and we need as many hands as possible. Whether you're a trained landscaper, a beginner painter, a willing gardener, a lifelong engineer, or just happy to help wherever needed - your time and energy will be appreciated. If you have any tools or equipment please bring these along.

KCC BUSHLAND CARERS

Our KCC Bushland Carers group was launched at the Working Bee in November 2015. Our Working Bees usually include bush regeneration activities, along with other projects.

  • Help us care for the beautiful creation that we’ve been given to look after on our property in Katoomba. Katoomba Christian Convention looks across to the world famous Three Sisters and sits next door to the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. We have beautiful ridge top bushland and a federally significant hanging swamp.
  • Learn how to use bush regeneration techniques to control threatening weeds.
  • Demonstrate to our visitor and the local community that we value and want to protect these environmental values.

Come and lend some time to helping us onsite by joining us if you’re interested.  Site staff and bush carer Jenny Schabel, a professional in natural resource management will be guiding bush regeneration activities.
